Cyprus, Ukraine conclude tax treaty protocol

Cyprus’s Ministry of Finance announced September 8 that it has agreed with the government of Ukraine to conclude a protocol to the countries’ November 2012 tax treaty.

The protocol, when signed, will come into effect in 2019, when the existing tax treaty between the nations expires, and provides special tax treatment for interest, dividends, royalties, and capital gains, Cyprus’s Ministry of Finance said.
