Cyprus and Jersey sign tax treaty

The governments of Cyprus and Jersey signed a comprehensive tax treaty on July 11, the two governments have announced.

According to the government of Jersey, the agreement was signed in London by Jersey’s Minister for External Relations, Senator Sir Philip Bailhache, and by Cyprus’ High Commissioner, His Excellency Euripides Evriviades.

“The signing of the DTA with Cyprus continues Jersey’s firm and longstanding commitment to the international standards of transparency and information exchange,” Bailhache said.

The text of the agreement was not released.
