Luxembourg announces new tax treaty with Serbia; entry into force of protocols with Ireland, Mauritius, Lithuania and UAE; and law approving tax treaties with six other nations

 

The government of Luxembourg has announced that protocols signed with Ireland, Mauritius, Lithuania and United Arab Emirates entered into force on December 11 and will be applicable as of January 1, 2016.

The government also announced it signed a new tax treaty with Serbia on December 15.

Moreover, the government announced that, through a law passed December 7, Luxembourg approved a tax treaty with Andorra, signed June 2, 2014; a tax treaty and protocol with Croatia signed June 20, 2014; a treaty with Estonia signed July 7, 2014; a treaty with Singapore signed October 9, 2013; a protocol with Tunisia signed July 8, 2014.

Luxembourg also approved on December 7 a supplementary agreement to its tax treaty with France, dated September 5, 2014, and the four protocols that entered into force December 11.
